What is Celebrate Recovery (CR)?

Founded in 1991, by John Baker and Rick Warren, at Saddleback Church, Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a Bible-based, Christ-centered support group for people struggling with "hurts, hang-ups, or habits" such as addiction, eating disorder, depression, abuse, and/or anger issues.

CR's curriculum is based on the Biblical Beatitudes. It features Large Group Meetings with worship and teaching, followed by gender specific "Small Groups" designed for supportive sharing.

Step Study Groups

A Step Study is a small, short-term gathering of Celebrate Recovery (CR) members seeking to develop a deeper understanding of the steps to recovery.

Participants journey through a structured curriculum using Participant's Guides to complete lessons and exercises. Step Studies provide a safe space to share experiences with a leader and other members, find accountability, and build a deeper relationship with God through the principles of recovery.
